Another Great Tuesday!

Today was a really good day.  When we came in, we took out our folders and lunch boxes. We have to put our lunch boxes on the shelf and our folders in the blue basket.  Mrs. Feller looks in the folders after we put them in the basket. We have to start our morning work at our table.

After morning work, we go to the carpet to learn on the SmartBoard. We do Calendar.  We talk about the Days of the Week, Months of the Year, Weather and how many days we have been in school.  We sing songs and dance together.  It is very fun.

After calendar, we go back to our tables for Work Centers. Some people made a Fall tree in work centers.  Another group colored pictures to go with story called "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?".  We get to retell the story to our families at home. Another work center was sorting Ff and Bb pictures.  We had to glue the pictures on the paper and write the words. One group got to make a school bus out of shapes.  The door of the bus is a rectangle and the wheels are circles. Another work center is putting scarecrows in order by number.  We can count to 10! Mrs. Deaton let us make a hat with the scarecrow numbers.  We look silly but we really like it!

Gigi's mommy came to our classroom today to help out.  Some of us got to work with her in the hallway!



After work centers we went to specials.  Our special was Guidance.  In Guidance, we learned about responsibility.  We need to be responsible in school.  After specials we got to eat a yummy snack.  We had Nilla wafers.  They were delicious!

After snack, we gathered on the carpet for Fundations and Daily 5. Mrs. Deaton was SO excited because we read for 15 minutes.  She is going to do a cartwheel tomorrow if we do it again.  We are building our stamina for sure!  In Fundations, we learned about the letters Ff and Bb.  Bb is a firecracker letter and it is voiced.  Ff is unvoiced.  We practiced writing our letters on our dry erase boards.

Before lunch, we got to watch a Brainpop Jr. video on Fall.  We also read a Clifford book about Fall. We know that another name for Fall is Autumn.  We are so smart!  We took a break and went to lunch before we wrote in our journals.  We wrote about Fall in our journals.

After journal writing, we did math. In math, we practiced our numbers.  We got to write our numbers on our dry erase boards.  Yesterday we sang a chicken song on youtube about counting. We want to do that again tomorrow because it was so funny! Mrs. Deaton said we could. Math centers were really good today.  We did IXL math on the computer, played with pattern blocks, played with unifix cubes and rolled dice to count the dots.

It's been an awesome Tuesday!  Tonight is Chick-fil-A night for our school.  We want to go eat there so we can see all of our friends and teachers!!
