Valentine's Day and 100th Day of School!!

Yesterday was Valentine's Day!! We enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's party with our friends and exchanged some awesome valentine cards.  It was a very happy day full of love.  In math, we got to sort candy hearts by color and graph how many of each we had.  We also have been working hard with addition!! We added counters on a valentine heart this week!

Happy 100th Day of School!!!

Today was the 100th day of school.  It was filled with many wonderful hands-on activities that kept us very happy and super busy! We transitioned through 8 different stations throughout the day completing some fun hundreds day activities. We worked as a team and independently to build structures using 100 pattern blocks, 100 unifix cubes, 100 Solo cups and 100 marshmallows with toothpicks. We made a gum ball machine using 10 dots of 10 different paint colors. We rolled a dice and colored a hundreds board until we reached the number 100. We made a delicious ice cream cone and counted to 100 by 10s. We matched 100 hershey kisses to the correct number on our lips poster. Between our stations, we counted to 100 and watched a BrainpopJr video about the number 100.

Our snack today consisted of 100 different pieces of snack. We had to count 10 different pieces of 10 different snacks to get our 100 piece snack. It was so yummy!

Our entire day was full of the number 100! We laughed a lot, collaborated as a team, worked hard, concentrated, played hard and had an overall amazing time in school today! Kindergarten rocks!
