Merry Christmas!

The three weeks before Christmas were extremely exciting and busy for everyone in our Kindergarten classroom.  The highlight of our month was celebrating Polar Express day.  We wore our pajamas, got tickets to "ride" our own Polar Express train, listened and watched the book on the SmartBoard, retold the story with pictures, played "Conductor Says", drank hot chocolate and watched the movie together.  We even had a special delivery from Santa himself.  He delivered us our own special bells straight from the North Pole.

Even though we had such an awesome, fun time during the month of December, we continued to work extremely hard.  In Literacy, we practiced our sight words, blended sounds to make words, worked on hearing all the sounds in words and much more.  In Math, we worked on adding, counting to 100, ordering objects by size, building objects with shapes and comparing shapes.

The Grinch visited our classroom one day! Instead of stealing our things, he actually brought us each a candy cane!  We loved the Grinch!

Lydia's mom had a very special craft for us to do together to celebrate Lydia's 6th birthday.  We got to make Olaf and then eat him!  This project was so much fun!  Thanks so much, Mrs. Moore!

We all had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with each other.  Kindergarten is awesome!
