Terrific Tuesday 9/11

We have had some great days this week in school. Yesterday, we got to play in free centers. It was so much fun! Some kids played in the Puzzles and Games center. Other kids got to play in the Housekeeping, Blocks and Math centers. A few kids even played in the Playdough center. Our Internet was not working so we did not get to play on the Computers.





This morning we worked hard during Daily 5 to build our stamina. We are trying to read for as long as we can without getting distracted. We are a little sad because we only got 5 minutes today, even though we got 8 yesterday! We are going to do better tomorrow!

We got to go to the playground with Mrs. Feller today. There are a lot of ant piles and Mrs. Feller had to be the guard. She made sure we did not get bitten by ants. Also, we found some glass on the blacktop. Mrs. Feller had to call the office to come clean up the mess.

We are talking about the letters Bb and Ff this week in school. Today, we drew a balloon and a fish in our letter journals. We are getting so smart! We are also writing about our families during journal writing. We love our families so much.





Work centers have been fun this week. We are making shape buses, putting our name in order on teddy bears, making name necklaces, making our name with play dough, sorting Bb and Ff pictures by sounds, working on pattern block puzzles, and retelling the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear.






In math we are learning about shapes. We talked about rectangles and squares today. Mrs. Deaton let us explore with geoboards and rubber bands. We used the geoboards to make shapes, make shape pictures and make letters. We really like the geoboards.






Guess what!! We finally got a brand new Smartboard bulb. Everyone is so happy to get to use the Smartboard in school. It is so much fun!
