We are talking about Dental Health this week in school. We are learning about how to take care of our teeth. Here are some things we can do to take care of our teeth:
“Brush our teeth at least two times a day.” Aaron
“Floss our teeth everyday.” Levi
“Go to the dentist every year.” Wes
“Swish with mouth wash.” Myonna
“Eat healthy foods like apples.” Paulina
“Don’t swallow toothpaste. Spit it out in the sink.” Grace
“Don’t eat sugary foods all the time.” Josh
We have been doing work centers this week about teeth. We are making a tooth fairy with a special pocket. In her pocket, we put number teeth in order from 11-20. We are also sorting good and bad things for our teeth. We put the pictures in pockets and write our words. We are doing a work center called “Horse Tips”. Our silly horse has silly teeth. We write 3 things that are good for our teeth in our horse’s mouth. Another work center is called “Counting Teeth”. We have to put numbers in order from 1-20.
It is good to learn about Dental Health. We are having a fun week so far. Guess what? We got a special package in the mail from Dr. Rabbit and the Tooth Defenders. Mrs. Deaton says we get to open the package and take home some surprises on Friday. We are excited!
