The week before Spring Break was a lot of fun in our Kindergarten classroom. We talked about Spring and Easter all during the week. Our favorite thing to do was to have our Easter Egg hunt at the end of the week. Mrs. Deaton and Mrs. Feller wrote numbers on eggs and hid them in a field beside our school. During our egg hunt, we were only allowed to find the eggs with our specific number on them. We each got 10 eggs. Then, we put them in our bunny bags that we made. The bags were also filled with delicious candy and goodies that our parents sent in. Thank you moms and dads for sending in such wonderful things!
Even though we did a lot of fun things throughout the week, we did not stop working hard. We know how important it is to work hard and try our best so we can be ready for 1st grade! Here are some pictures of us working hard during Daily 5.
Speaking of Easter and eggs... We have some exciting news in our classroom! We are hatching our own baby chicks this year. We have over 40 eggs in our classroom incubator right now and are anxiously awaiting our sweet little baby chicks to hatch. Because it takes 21 days for a chick to hatch, we are expecting baby chicks sometime next week (the week of April 13-17). We will learn all about the life cycle of a chick and what to expect when our babies hatch so we will be ready for them! It is so exciting and we can't wait!
