Mayor Atkins Visited!!

Today was a very exciting day in Kindergarten.  Guess what? Our mayor came to our classroom today. His name is Mayor Atkins.  He came to our classroom so he could read us a story. We really liked meeting Mayor Atkins. He was very nice.  He was almost like our daddy because he sat right on the carpet with us and read the story. He is a very nice man.

Mayor Atkins read the story called "Otis".  The story was about Otis the tractor and a baby calf. Adriyana thought that if she was a tractor like Otis, she would be best friends with the baby calf too. We all thought the story was cool, awesome and a little funny. Jackson thought the book was a little bit sad because the big tractor came and took Otis' place in the barn. The end of the story was happy, though. We were very lucky that Mayor Atkins came to visit our classroom and read to us!

Here are some other things we liked about today:

The playground was fun. Specials was awesome.  We went to Guidance with Mrs. Rollins and talked about RESPECT! Work centers and math centers were both fun.  Ms. Elizabeth came to our classroom today during math.  She played a math game with Jarett.  Lunch was good too.  A lot of things about today were really great!

We are a little sad today because 5 of our friends are not here.  Addison, Logan, Jace, Gigi and Lily are all sick.  We miss them so much and hope they get better soon.  We want them to come back to school! Our class is just not the same without them!
