Lazy 5 Ranch!!

We had an amazing time on our field trip to Lazy 5 Ranch and Edgemoor Park yesterday!  The day was filled with excitement and fun.  Before we loaded the bus for Lazy 5 Ranch, we changed into our class t-shirts and gathered on the rug for a group picture.  We got to take three different kinds of pictures. First, we took a good picture with everyone smiling.  Then, we took a hugging picture.  Last, we got to take a silly picture.  We made the silliest faces ever!

After we took our pictures, we lined up and headed for the bus.  We were all so happy and excited on the bus because we couldn't wait to get to Lazy 5 Ranch! When the bus pulled into Lazy 5 Ranch, we saw some animals in the field. Everyone started to squeal and scream with happiness! When we got off the bus, we ate a quick snack together.  Mrs. Deaton and Mrs. Feller gave us rice crispy treats for snack.

As soon as our snack was gone, we gathered in line to get on the wagon ride.  The wagon ride was awesome!  We got to feed and pet many different animals on the wagon ride.

"I fed a white llama on the wagon ride." Addison
"I fed an emu with a bucket. I put my bucket out and the emu ate the food." Jackson
"It was cool to see the zebras." Gigi
"The zebras had brown and white stripes." Ivan
"My favorite part was feeding the deer. The deer ate the food right out of my hand." Caroline
"We saw a kind of cow that looked like a dog because it has floppy ears. It was cute." Daniel
"I fed an emu and he liked me." Jarett
"I saw a tiny and cute pig.  He was black." Ali
"We saw some baby pot-belly pigs. They were really cute." Lily
"When I saw the baby pigs, I thought they were really cute. I did not feed them though." Adam
"I was scared to feed the animals." Adair
"The giraffes ate out of our buckets too.  We had to hold our buckets above our heads." Christian
"I fed a water buffalo. I put the food right on his tongue. It was black and very big." Logan
"We met Luther the rhino.  He was by himself. He has a toy log that he plays with on his nose. He plays with it in the morning." Kevin
"I saw brown and white deer. I was not scared to feed them." Adriyana
"I saw animals from India. One animal took my bucket!" Ritesh
"Two horses pulled our wagon. They made us go fast!" Jace

After the wagon ride was over, we got to walk around Lazy 5 Ranch.  We fed some other animals like the goats, llamas and deer.  We saw the camels and took a picture with one of them.  Camels will spit but thankfully they did not spit on us!  Everyone wanted to be really quiet so the camels would not spit on us.  Mrs. Deaton was so excited to see the lemurs. These animals are so cute!  Mrs. Feller loved seeing the beautiful peacocks.  The colors on the peacock were amazing.  We also saw fish, another baby giraffe, lots of birds, ducks and kangaroos.

We got back in the bus and drove all the way to Edgemoor Park.  It was so hot outside and we were all sweaty.  We couldn't wait to eat our lunch and drink some water!

When we arrived at the park, some of our moms were there.  It was nice to have some of our moms eat lunch with us and watch us play. We had a picnic lunch together and then got to play on the playground.  Even though it was very hot outside, we had a blast!  We all played together and got along really well.  We played on the slides, the monkey bars, the swings, the fireman pole and the playground structure. Jackson and some other kids got a blister on their hands from playing on the monkey bars.  That part was not very fun.

Mrs. Deaton's little boys came to the park for a little bit too.  It was fun to see Connor and Brandon!

The bus left us at the park so we had to walk back to school. Mrs. Deaton and Mrs. Feller gave us all an ice cold water bottle before we walked back to school. Walking back to school was fun and exhausting.  Caroline and Gigi were happy that they got to hold Mrs. Deaton's hand all the way back to school.  We all had a really great time on our field trip!
