In May, we went on a field trip with all of the Kindergarten classes at South Elementary School. We went to Tweetsie Railroad for a day of Letterland fun. We went on a big bus to get to Tweetsie. The charter bus had tv's on it so we got to watch movies on the way. When we got to Tweetsie, we went with our chaperones all around. We rode a lot of awesome rides. Some were fun and some were scary. Tweetsie has a petting zoo so we got to pet and feed a lot of different animals. The biggest thing we did was ride the huge train together. There were many Letterland characters all around the park. The characters also were there during our train ride. They were dancing and singing silly things and made us laugh so hard. Another thing we did on our field trip was have a picnic lunch together. Here are some of our thoughts about the trip...

"I did not go with the class. But, I went to Tweetsie with my family. We looked at the goats and went on the train." Leia

"My favorite part of the trip was the merry-go-round." Maddie M.
"My mom was my chaperone. We walked a lot at Tweetsie. I got to ride with Mrs. Deaton on some rides!" Myah

We also had a BLAST during our FUN DAY at South Elementary! We got to do so many different relays outside. Some of us got SO wet during the relay games! We also got to hear an awesome story teller read a bunch of books. She was a great, funny reader. During our art station, we got to color our own stuffed animal with permanent markers. Mrs. Tucker made it really fun. The last thing we did was dance in the gym. We did tons of gonoodle and just dance videos from the big screen. It was so much fun! Another fun thing we got to do at the end of our school year was eat snow cones! The teachers got Pelican Snowballs to come to our school for the day. We got to pick one or two of our favorite flavors to eat. It was delicious!!!
We have had an awesome year in Kindergarten!!
