We are having a wonderful week in Kindergarten! This week we have been doing many different Christmas activities to get ready for the holidays. Our classroom has been a very busy place. We have worked hard making a lot of awesome ornaments for our parents. It has been so much fun!

Miss Jaslynn and Miss Sarah helped us fill our ornaments with pretend snow! |

Mrs. Feller worked hard all week on helping us with our ornaments. |
During Work Centers, we made a Grinch craft and wrote about how we would make a grinch grin. We also made a chain counting down the days until Christmas day. Another work center was ordering stockings on a mantel by size. We put them in order from tallest to shortest. In Work Centers, we also made a TinyTap with words that start with the letter Ee. Check out our Seesaw journals so you can see our creations! The last thing we did in Work Centers was made a sight word candy cane. This was really fun!!
During Math, we have been practicing counting, writing our teen numbers, working on comparing numbers and remembering our shapes. We have worked hard in Mrs. Feller's group with our teen numbers. In Mrs. Deaton's group, we have worked hard on comparing our shapes. We are getting so smart with our math skills!!

Daily 5 has been a very busy time of our day this week as well. Mrs. Deaton is helping us read harder and harder books. Mrs. Feller is helping us write harder sentences using our sounds and sight words! We have been playing learning games on Footsteps2Brilliance and practicing our reading on Raz-Kids. We also read books from Mrs. Deaton's book boxes. We work so hard during Daily 5!!

On Friday, we had a special visit from some teenagers from Mooresville High School. They wrote children's books in their classroom and came to share them with us. We got to hear the high school students read their books. It was awesome! Thank you to Mr. Smith's class for allowing your students to read to us. We love them all!

Congratulations to our November and December students of the Months! We are so very proud of Bransen and Scarlett for being role models with the character traits of Thankfulness and Kindness. Our class is lucky to have both of you in it! We adore you both!
