FUN RUN!!!

We had an AMAZING FUN RUN this morning at South Elementary School!! THE DEATON'S DETECTIVES each ran 35 laps on the soccer fields and did awesome!  The girls ran first while the boys cheered them on.  Then, the girls got to cheer on the boys while they ran their laps! The weather was perfect and everyone did incredible.  Mrs. Deaton and Mrs. Feller were SOOOOO proud of us!!

The Boosterthon Fun Run fundraiser is going to help our school get a brand new paved blacktop with awesome games painted on it (like hopscotch and four square).  We also are getting a lot of brand new library books for our library.  We can't wait!  South Elementary School got pledges from all 50 states.  We get to all throw water balloons at our principal, Dr. Cottone.  He is also going to shave his hair like a mohawk!!!! Another reward we get is to watch our teachers play Minute to Win It games against our Principal.  Every time he loses, our teachers get to pie him in the face.  It is going to be hilarious!

Our class came in 2nd place for the entire school for the amount of pledge money sponsored per lap.  Our class got $80 per lap in pledges!! WOW! We really hope to collect all of our pledge money so we can support our school! Because we filled up our class pledge-o-meter, we earned a ton of class awards.  We already had free choice on the iPad, hat day, bring a stuffed animal to school day, popcorn and a movie and bring a toy to school day. We are also going to have an ice cream party, no shoe day, extra recess and pajamas with cookies and milk party.  We hope to do all of these things over the next week!!

The Boosterthon Fun Run has been a HUGE success.  It was a BLAST and something we will always remember.  What a FUN DAY!!
