Christmas

We had an awesome time celebrating Christmas in our classroom.  Polar Express day was so much fun! We wore our pajamas, got tickets to "ride" our own Polar Express, listened and watched the book on the SmartBoard, retold the story with pictures,  played "Conductor Says", drank hot chocolate and ended the day by watching the movie together.  We even had a special delivery from Santa himself!! Kindergarten is so much fun!!

Thanksgiving Feast

We have had such a great day in Kindergarten.  We got to have our feast today during lunch.  We dressed up like Pilgrims and Native Americans.  The pilgrims were from England and they came over to America on a ship called the Mayflower.  The Native Americans taught the pilgrims how to grow crops in America. We pretended we were the pilgrims and Native Americans today so we could celebrate the first Thanksgiving.  It was a lot of fun dressing up and eating our meal together. Tomorrow, we all get to dress up like Native Americans.  Then, we get to take our costumes home with us.

Mrs. Deaton let us pick out our own Native American names.  We chose something that reminded us of ourselves.  Here are our names:

Adair- Little Dear
Adam- Eagle Feather
Akshay- Star Fish
Addison- Water Lily
Adriyana- Running Water

Arianna- Sun Princess
Caroline- Little Blue Bell
Christian- Tall Pine

Jackson- Brave Hunter
Jarett- Thunder Hawk
